Google+ Integration in GMail

Google will soon be releasing Google+ integration in GMail. With this, you may notice some new features available in GMail. One of these features include the ability to filter your mail by your Google+ circles. This provides users the ability to incorporate the organization of your Google+ relationships into your Inbox. Here is a look at how you can effectively utilize Google+ circles in your GMail.

Where Can I Find Google+ Circles in GMail?
Your Google+ Circles will be visible below your current labels in GMail. You have the ability to expand, collapse, show, and hide all of your current circles you have created in Google+.

How Can I Filter Messages by My Google+ Circles?
Google+ circles can be used like labels. You have the ability to look at all of your messages by a specific Google+ circle that you have created. Simply click on the circle you wish to view messages for and you will easily find all correspondences associated with that Google+ circle. Similar to labels, Google+ circles will be visible in the subject line of your email messages. This feature is sure to help your daily organizational practices. 
How Can I Manage My Circles From My Inbox?
You can manage all of your circles or an individual circle right from your inbox. Select the drop down arrow beside ‘Circles’ to have the ability to edit or show/hide your circles.
You many also choose to edit an individual circle that you have created. This is achieved by selecting the drop down arrow next the the circle you wish to edit. You will now have the ability to edit or show/hide that specific circle.
If you choose to edit an individual circle, or all of your circles, you will be directed to your Google+ account. Here, you can easily manage your Google+ circles

  • Create custom circles to individualize the way you read your email. This way, you can begin your day with important items and get around to nonesssential messages when you have the time.
  • Show or Hide circles you wish to be displayed in your inbox. 
  • Share your circles with others on Google+ so you and others can monitor important messages easily.
